Why don't I see a GWP reduction from CarbonCure in my EPD?

If you're using CarbonCure in your concrete mixes but aren't seeing a corresponding reduction in your GWP results, this is expected behavior tied to how carbon capture credits are allocated – not an error in your EPD.

CarbonCure captures carbon from other resources and facilities that emit GHGs, then sells it to RMX producers and other buyers who can "lock" that carbon into their products, such as concrete. Because the carbon is typically captured at off-site facilities, the carbon reduction credit belongs to the owner of that facility – not to the RMX producer using the CO₂. If RMX producers also claimed these reductions in their EPDs, the same carbon reduction would be counted twice.

RMX producers only see a carbon reduction credit in their own GWP results if they capture carbon at their own facilities, using CarbonCure or another carbon capture technology.
