Why didn't Enhance return a mix, and how do I fix each message?

 Overview

Enhance fails when no mix satisfies every requirement at once. When that happens, it doesn't return a mix. Instead, it names the limit that left no room, so you know what to widen.

How to approach any message

1. Read the message to see which limit it names.

2. Change that limit, or the lock or requirement it points to, as far as is appropriate for the project.

3. Run Enhance again.

4. If the message persists, contact support.

The messages

No mix within the current limits reaches the required strength. The enhancement held w/cm at or below …, SCM at or above …% and paste between …% and …%.

What it means: inside the limits, no mix reaches f'cr on the model's prediction. The message lists the limits Enhance held, so you can see which to relax.

What to do: widen w/cm or paste, allow less SCM, or review the requirement.

No feasible mix stayed within the water/cement ratio limits (… – …).

What it means: the w/cm range is too narrow for the other limits.

What to do: widen the w/cm range.

No feasible mix stayed within the SCM replacement limits.

What it means: the SCM range is too narrow for the other limits.

What to do: widen the SCM range.

No feasible mix stayed within the paste content limits.

What it means: the paste range is too narrow for the other limits.

What to do: widen the paste range.

No candidate stayed within the range the strength model was trained on, so strength could not be predicted reliably.

What it means: the proportions sit outside the model's data.

What to do: bring the proportions closer to typical values, or adjust the limits. Silica fume and blends using two SCMs aren't supported by the strength model.

The locked materials could not be kept at their quantities within the current limits.

What it means: your locks and limits contradict each other.

What to do: unlock a material or widen the limits.

One or more required materials are missing. All of these must be present: Cement, Water, Fine Aggregate, Coarse Aggregate.

What it means: the mix is incomplete.

What to do: add the missing material.

Unable to perform enhancement, please check Project constraints.

What it means: this is the general fallback message.

What to do: check the limits. If it persists, contact support.

The Lower cost goal is disabled

Lower cost isn't available until every plant material has a price. When a price is missing, the goal appears disabled with a note that says what's missing. Once every plant material has a price, the goal becomes available.
