How do I update the supplier of an existing material?
If you've changed suppliers for a material, our support team can update the supplier on file for that material.
Before you begin- You know the plant name.
- You know the current material name and material code.
- You know the current supplier.
- You have the new supplier's name, manufacturing plant name, and manufacturing location.
- You know the transportation mode(s) and, if available, one-way distances from the new supplier's manufacturing location to your plant, including any pickups from a hub or terminal.
- Not sure of the one-way distance from the new supplier's location to your plant? You don't need to provide it – just include the transportation mode and we'll estimate the distance for you.
- Updating suppliers for materials across multiple plants? List each plant, material, and its new supplier separately so support can apply the changes correctly.
