How do I prepare and submit a Bid Report with my bid?
A Bid Report documents how the concrete you're offering compares with the project's benchmark or carbon budget. Preparing one comes down to having the right inputs ready, choosing which version to attach, and making sure each mix's EPD status is right before you submit.
Before you begin- Applications: each with its mix, application strength, volume and GWP data (up to ten).
- Volume by application: project totals are weighted by volume.
- The required benchmark or budget: whichever the project calls for.
- Current EPD status: whether each mix has a declared EPD or is using a Mix Designer estimate.
- Every application has its mix, application strength, volume and GWP data.
- The benchmark or budget matches what the project requires.
- You've reviewed any applications listed separately without a benchmark value.
- Each mix's EPD status is current, and declared EPD values are generated where the bid requires them.
- You've chosen the full report or the shorter Bid Report, and decided whether to attach EPDs.
- Someone who signs off on bids has reviewed the numbers.
1. Add the project's applications, up to ten, with mix, application strength, volume and GWP data.
2. Choose the benchmark or carbon budget you're comparing against.
3. Check any applications that are listed separately because they have no benchmark value. They're excluded from the benchmark totals.
4. Review the required reduction factor alongside the achieved project reduction factor.
5. Check EPD status, and generate a declared EPD value for any mix in a bid that requires one.
Before you submit Full report or shorter Bid ReportBid Reports can produce a full report and a shorter Bid Report that's designed for attaching to a bid. Available EPDs can be attached when you choose that option.
What a Bid Report is, and isn'tA Bid Report documents a comparison. It doesn't prove compliance. The engineer of record, the authority having jurisdiction and the owner decide acceptance or compliance. Use the report to explain how the concrete you're offering compares with the benchmark or budget.
